Samsung Galaxy Note7 launching in India in second week of August
“With almost all the juicy details already out about the Note7, the only thing left to know is its pricing”
The internet is choc-a-bloc with rumours and speculations about the upcoming flagship from Samsung, the Galaxy Note7. Almost everything is out – either officially or unofficially – from it skipping a generation in its name, to its specs, colours, iris scanner and more. With the unveil of the Samsung Galaxy Note7 just a few days away, all these leaks will be put to the rest. However, what’s not known yet is when the phablet would be landing in India.
Usually, the Korean giant launches its devices in India within a fortnight of its global announcements, and it seems the Note7 will also continue with that trend. As per our sources, Samsung is expected to hold the launch of the Galaxy Note7 by the end of the second week of August. It will go on up for pre-order on the launch day, with the market availability to follow after a few days.
Our sources have also tipped us about the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Note7, which are in line with the rumours. The smartphone would be fitted with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display. The display will sport dual-curves towards the edges and will bear the same QHD resolution as its predecessor, the Galaxy Note5 . The device will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 821 processor, however the variant making its way to India will be fuelled by the Exynos 8 SoC.
The device is expected to be a beast with its 6GB of RAM. For storage, the Galaxy Note7 will come with 64GB of storage on board, which can be extended further with a microSD card. Similar to the Galaxy S7 duo, the smartphone will be IP68-compliant, making it dust- and water-resistant. In the imaging department, the phablet will flaunt a 12-meg snapper at the back, with dual-pixel technology, PDAF and LED flash. In the front, the Note7 will have a 5MP shooter, but more importantly, it will feature an iris scanner for authentication purposes.
Other specs also concur with the leaks – Android 6.0 Marshmallow, 4G, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 4.2 and NFC. One major difference between the Note7 and S7 twins is that Samsung is adopting the USB Type-C standard for charging and data transfers for the former. Powering the Samsung Galaxy Note7 will be a 3,600mAh battery with support for fast charging.
With almost all the juicy details already out about the Note7, the only thing left to know is its pricing, which we should know soon enough. Until then, stay tuned to Myandroid.in
