Galaxy Note 7 to Sport 3,500 mAh Battery, Shows Leak

In case you are a tech savvy you might already know that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is on its way and the company will announced it on the 2nd of August during its Unpacked event. The event might be in just a couple of weeks from now, but this doesn’t mean that the rumors regarding the device have or will stop until the Samsung execs will officially unveil their new flagship device. A few ours ago, we say some new press renders featuring the Galaxy Note 7, which showed off the colors that the smartphone will be sold in, specifically Gold, Blue and Black. The Galaxy Note series, starting with its first member which basically was the first phone of this size that was popular, has set a new trend when it was originally launched because it made the term ‘phablet’ a thing among the consumers, thus giving life to a new segment of smartphones.
One of the characteristics that is distinguishing the phablet from other handset is the stylus. The other one would be the big screen, but with smartphones these days getting larger and larger, the Galaxy Note family is not something special anymore, at least when it comes to size. Nonetheless, having such a huge panel, the phone is required to have a large battery as well, and this is one of the most important features that customers are looking when deciding to purchase a smartphone. However, if this latest rumor we’ve stumbled upon turns out to be true, then some of the people who are waiting might get frustrated.
Even though it’s a bit early, South Korea Telecom has already listed the Galaxy Note 7 and according to the website, the terminal will come with a 3,500 battery. In case you are not familiar with Samsung offerings, this battery is a bit smaller than the one of the Galaxy S7 Edge which has a capacity of 3,600 mAh, and larger than the 3,00o mAh cell packed by its predecessor, the Galaxy Note 5. The Galaxy Note 7 will have a slightly smaller battery than the Galaxy S7 Edge most likely because the company required some space to fit the stylus, but also for the circuits of the Iris scanning sensor.
Nevertheless, if we take into consideration the fact that the Note 7 has a larger display that the S7 Edge, we can’t help but wonder why the manufacturer could not better the capacity of the battery or at least match the one integrated on the Galaxy S7 Edge. Still, we can’t really know for sure if the listing is precise because, as mentioned before, it’s a bit early and there are still two weeks remaining until the official launch of the handset, this it might be possible that South Korea Telecom might not have its final retail specifications, but we assume that this is actually the battery that the Galaxy Note 7 will be bringing to the table after all.
We know that a 3,500 mAh battery by sound sub-par to some of you, but in reality the capacity is not everything. Maybe the company has found a way to make the phone less power demanding. If this is the case then this battery would be enough for most of the users. If you might recall, when the Galaxy Note 4 was released in 2014 it came with a 3,220 battery, and at the time the CPU’s were a lot more power hungry that the processors found on today’s mobile phones. Anyway, we think that a 3,500 mAh capacity should normally be enough for most of the smartphone’s owners, yet there will be some of them who will not be very happy with the news.
