Huawei Honor 8 Crosses 5 Million Megistrations On First Sale

Honor is Huawei’ subsidiary and it has become a very popular company over the years due to its affordable devices that offer more than decent specs for their price. The manufacturer launched the Honor 8 not long ago, which is the latest phone produced by the brand. Apart from it, Honor released a few other handsets in 2016, one of them being the Honor 5X which has been and still is very appealing to the customers. Overall, it’s been a great period for Huawei and if things will go as planned, this year will be another success for the company.

In case you didn’t know, Huawei is the third largest phone maker in the world when it comes to sold devices, being surpassed only by Samsung and Apple. Anyway, the Honor 8 was introduced a few days ago, and it looks like it will be made available on the US market in the near future. The truth is that the smartphone is already very popular among the people, which is not entirely surprising because it does seem like an interesting handset. Today, we have some detailed information on the matter.

Even though, the device has only been announced a few days ago, we found out that Honor has received more than 5 million registrations for it in China, which is pretty insane. All the customers who registered for the device will be allowed to take part at the flash sale that will be held on July 19th in China. In other words, the people who registered did not buy the handset yet, they just registered for the chance to partake in the flash sale in a few days. Nevertheless, there will be a lot of them who will remain empty handed because it’s hard to believe that the manufacturer will have 5 million Honor 8 units ready for shipment. Maybe the execs did not believe that the demand for their new product would be this high. Anyhow, in case you live in China and you are interested in the device, you can still register for the Honor 8 until July 18th if you haven’t done it yet.

So, the company has released three different models of the smartphone. The cheapest one offers 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of native storage, and it’s sold for $299. Furthermore, the other two versions come with 4 GB of RAM, the less expensive one includes 32 GB of builtin storage, while the more premium model provides 64 GB of integrated storage. As for the price, they are sold in exchange for $343 and $374, respectively.

Returning to the phone’s specs, it also comes with a Full Hd display that measures 5.2 inches and features a resolution of 1920 x 1080. Moreover, it’s underpinned by a Kirin 950 octa-core SoC, and it’s kept alive by a 3,000 mAh battery which can’t be removed. Software-wise, the smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow right from the start, which is customized with Huawei’s proprietary user interface, the EMUI 4.1. To conclude, the smartphone sports a 12 MP main shooter located on its back, and its casing is made out of metal and glass.
