Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Already Up for Pre-order in Dubai
We know for a while that Samsung is on the verge of announcing their next-gen high-end phablet, the highly-anticipated Galaxy Note 7. The unveiling of the new smartphone will be made next Tuesday, on August 2, during an Unpacked event held in New York and also streamed online on the company’s Youtube channel.
While the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is not official yet, we hear that stores in Dubai are already accepting pre-orders for it. The information comes the folks at Sammobile, a publication with a straight record when it comes to reporting about Samsung products, who “have just received information that pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 7 are now open in Dubai.” They even have a picture of a poster to sustain their claims.
According to the poster, the customers who want to pre-order the Galaxy Note 7 must make a deposit of AED 500 (which is about $130) until August 2nd, the day when the new smartphone will be officially introduced for the public. Also, the customers in Dubai who pre-order the phone will get a 128 GB microSD card for free, which is also a further confirmation to the rumors about Note 7 microSD’s capabilities.
The news comes only a few hours after a report saying that T-Mobile will open per-orders for the Galaxy Note 7 has surfaced online. The same report also suggested that the South Korean company will make the new device available for purchase hours after the official launch event. Now that we heard that pre-orders in Dubai have been opened and that they could close on August 2nd, chances are that the smartphone will indeed go live for purchase the same day it’s officially unveiled.
Even though the release date of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is more than one week away, we already know almost everything about the handset courtesy of the leaks and reports that surfaced online over the past few weeks. Furthermore, it was earlier today when we got a peek at what seem to be the official renders of the device.
As for the hardware of Sammy’s high-end phablet, all sources agree that it will be a beast. So far we know that the terminal will sport a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED screen curved around its edges, 6 GB of RAM, and the same 12 MP / 5 MP camera combo of the S7 and S7 Edge. However, there have been reports of Super OIS for Note 7’s main camera.
There have also been some rumors saying that Galaxy Note 7 will feature a 3,500 mAh battery and that it will come with an upgraded S Pen stylus with new software features. As for the processing solutions, the rumor mill talks about two (or three): one variant powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 8890 processor and the other sporting a Qualcomm-made Snapdragon 820 (or Snapdragon 823) SoC. It’s also worth mentioning that the device will have both a fingerprint reader and an iris scanner the help you better secure your info.
