Micromax Alpha LI351 laptop with 6 GB RAM, Windows 10 now available at Rs 26,990

Micromax has not formally announced it launch but the laptop is now available on an e-store.

A yet to be announced laptop of Micromax, named as Alpha LI351, is now available from an online store for Rs 26,990. It is not even listed on Micromax's website. It is arguably Micromax's flagship laptop ever and it is undoubtedly one of the best laptops under Rs 30,000 in terms of specs.

The Alpha LI351 has the powerful Intel Core i3 (5th Gen) processor and it has huge 6 GB of RAM. The laptop has the latest Windows 10 (64 bit) processor along with 500 GB of internal storage.

Available only in grey colour, the Micromax laptop has 3 MB of cache and a CD/DVD writer with 8x speed. It has a 15.6 inch LED backlit display with 1366x768 pixels resolution. The laptop comes with Intel HD Graphics 5500 graphics processor.

Besides, it has a web camera, standard keyboard with touchpad, dual speakers, Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi (b/g/n). It comes with 4 cell battery promising up to 4.7 hours of back up. There are two USB 3.0 ports in the Micromax Alpha LI351 apart from an RJ45 LAN port, an HDMI port, a microphone jack, a headphone jack and one power port. It comes with one year onsite warranty.

Why this is good

Not many laptops come with Windows 10 version at this price which alone costs about Rs 10,000. This means, if you deduct the price of the OS, the whole device costs just about Rs 16,000 for which you are getting the powerful Intel Core i3 processor. Also the laptop offers huge 6 GB RAM which is not common in the sub-Rs 30,000 category where in usually laptops have maximum of 4 GB of RAM.

But its battery back up is not that encouraging, if not bad. For a new laptop, it should have offered around 6-7 hours as most high end laptops offer up to 12 hours of battery life. But at such low price, it might be too much to ask.

The Micromax Alpha LI351 is available from Flipkart currently and you can exchange your old laptop to get additional Rs 5,000 discount as well as HDFC's 10 per cent additional discount. This means you could bag this Intel Core i3 laptop for just about Rs 21,500.
