Moto E3 Power Goes On Sale In Hong Kong

The Moto E3 Power, which has now been listed for sale by an online retailer in Hong Kong, happens to be the premium variant of the 3rd-gen Moto E3 that was officially announced last month by Motorola. However, unlike the Moto E3 (2016), the slightly better spec'd Moto E3 Power is yet to be officially unveiled by the Lenovo-owned company.

The device will be fairly similar to the Moto E3 in most aspects. That includes a 5-inch 720p touchscreen display and a MediaTek MT6735P SoC with a quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU clocked at a frequency of 1GHz. The device will support dual-SIM functionality and have LTE connectivity, while the rear-facing speaker will have an output of 1W. As for the imaging options on the device, there will be an 8-megapixel camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel camera on the front, while Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow will come pre-installed.

That includes the battery, which will be a 3,500mAh unit in the Moto E3 Power as opposed to a significantly smaller 2,800mAh unit in the 3rd-gen Moto E3. Another key area of difference will be the amount of RAM and built-in storage, with the premium model sporting 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, whereas the base Moto E3 (2016) comes with just the 1GB of RAM and only 8GB of built-in storage. The Moto E3 Power has been priced at HKD 1,098 ($141 / €125), so it will remain fairly affordable in spite of the somewhat enhanced spec-sheet.
