Moto Z Play Gets Spied Yet Again
Barely days after the Moto Z Play was certified by TENAA in China, new leaked images of the unannounced smartphone have hit the web. The leaked images show off the front as well as back of the smartphone, although there is nothing new to see here as we have already seen many leaked renders and images of the Moto Z Play in the recent past. That said, the Moto Z Play prototype certainly looks quite attractive in the Black color option seen here.
Like the Moto Z and the Moto Z Force, the Moto Z Play has the MotoMod connectors at the back, which will be used to attach various MotoMod accessories to the smartphone. As suggested by a leak from the recent past, we are expecting Motorola to announce some new MotoMods to go along with the Moto Z Play. The rest of the design is very similar to its siblings as well, although it looks like the Moto Z Play might come with a glass back instead of a metal back on the Moto Z and the Moto Z Force.
While there is still no word on when the Moto Z Play is going to be made official, most of its spec-sheet is now public. The smartphone is expected to feature a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with 1080 x 1920 Full HD resolution and could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core chipset clocked at 2 GHz. As far as memory goes, the Moto Z Play will be available in multiple configurations. The base version is going to offer 2GB of RAM along with 16GB of expandable storage, while a more expensive version will come with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage. A variant with 64GB of onboard storage is likely to be available as well.
Rest of the revealed specifications of the Moto Z Play include a 16MP rear camera with 4K video capture, 5MP selfie camera, and a 3,510mAh capacity battery. Seeing how we have started to see multiple Moto Z Play leaks crop up lately, it could be possible that the smartphone could go official very soon.
