Samsung reportedly working on Galaxy C9

The C series, as we know, is only China exclusive and the next addition probably will not enter the other markets too.

After successful launch of the Galaxy Note 7, Samsung is now working on another phone which will come under the C series. The C series, as we know, is only China exclusive and the next addition probably will not enter the other markets too. The South Korean tech giant introduced the C series earlier this year in May, with the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7. Talking about the design, the C series are a lot similar or pretty identical to the iPhone 6/6s.

As per a report of SamMobile, the new smartphone from Samsung will have the model number SM-C9000 and is codenamed 'Amy'. There are not much information on its specifications but the report claimed that the phone has a 6 inch Super AMOLED display which we saw in the Galaxy A9. We will have to wait and see if Samsung dumps the iPhone like design language for the new C9.

The Galaxy C5 with 5.2 inch display launched at CNY 2200 (approximately Rs 22,000) and the C7 with 5.7 inch display at starting price of CNY 2599 which is roughly Rs 26,000.

Earlier this week, rumours claimed that Samsung might be working on a 6GB RAM variant of the Galaxy Note 7 with 128GB internal memory as mentioned on Chinese certification website 'Tenaa'.
To recall, the Samsung Galaxy C5 offers a 5.2-inch display with full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 617 (4 x 1.5GHz + 4 x 1.2GHz) processor and Adreno 405 GPU. The phone has a 128GB expandable memory slot. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system and is backed up by a 2,600 mAh battery. The device also features a fingerprint sensor on the home button. In the camera department, it has a 16 MP primary camera with dual-tone LED flash and 8 MP front facing camera.


The Samsung Galaxy C7 offers a 5.7-inch display with full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display. It is powered by a 2 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor and Adreno 506 GPU. The phone has 4GB RAM, 128GB expandable memory slot, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system and a 3,300 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. The device also sports a finger print scanner and the same 16MP and 8MP camera combination as seen in the C5.
