Amazon disables COD options, Snapdeal and Flipkart offering it on limited products

As a part of post consequence of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes ban, various e-commerce websites have disabled or limited the Cash On Delivery options for the time being in an attempt to avoid 500 or 1000 notes payments.

The first to display this message was Amazon which has completely disabled the option of COD displaying a message - "We have disabled COD for you to save cash for essential payments".

On the other hand, Flipkart and Snapdeal seem to have limited the COD option to some select items priced below Rs 2000. Also, Snapdeal is displaying a reminder message as well. Paytm was not clear in terms of payment options and lacked consistency. Uber, on the other hand, is allowing cash payments with a note saying that drivers will not accept Rs 500 or Rs 1000 notes as payments.
