Xiaomi sells more than 1 million Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime units
Flipkart has shared this information via its official twitter handle, @Flipkart. The e-commerce company tweet reads "We've sold #1MillionRedmi3SOnFlipkart, and still going strong. If you haven't already, get the Redmi 3S today! Gear up for the contest too!" along with a GIF image.
Recently, Xiaomi had claimed to have sold about 2.3 million units of Redmi Note 3 so far and thus making it the best selling smartphone in India. Further, boasting about this achievement Xiaomi claimed that every 7 seconds a Redmi Note 3 is sold in India. Moreover, one of every nine smartphones shipped in India is a Redmi Note 3, claimed Xiaomi.
The Redmi 3S has a has a metal unibody design and features a 5-inch HD (720p) IPS display. Though it weighs just 144 grams, Redmi 3S comes with a huge 4100 mAh battery which claims to offer two days of battery back up with moderate usage. Redmi 3S is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, 2 GB RAM and Adreno 505 GPU.
Redmi 3S has a 13MP rear camera with PDAF (phase detection auto-focus) for faster focusing and supports 1080P video recording. It also has HDR and HHT (handheld twilight) modes for various shooting conditions. Redmi 3S supports expandable memory up to 128GB micro SD cards. It supports 4G LTE and VoLTE out of the box, covering all India LTE bands - Bands 3, 5 and 40. The Redmi 3S has 16 GB of internal memory and an IR blaster.
In addition to all the features of Redmi 3S, Redmi 3S Prime comes with a fingerprint sensor with ultra-fast phone unlocking and enhanced security and privacy, as well as 3GB RAM and 32GB storage.
